Report seeking Cabinet Member approval to
consult with residents of Derbyshire on a new Adult Social Care
Strategy.
That the Cabinet Member:
(a) Notes the content of the draft Adult Social Care Strategy;
(b) Notes that a period of engagement with staff, residents and local stakeholders on the delivery of the strategy will be undertaken; and
(c) receives the final strategy in Autumn 2022.
The Cabinet Member needs to be aware and informed about the future strategy for Adult Social Care in Derbyshire.
The public need to be aware of the shift in approach necessitated by government reforms and informed by their views.
The Cabinet Member will be required to sign-off the final strategy post-engagement in Autumn 2022.
The alternative option would be not to undertake any form of public engagement or co-production activity and publish the strategy as our approach to the future delivery of Adult Social Care in Derbyshire.
