A request pursuant to paragraph 8 Improvement
and Scrutiny Procedure Rules has been made to have an item included
on the agenda of the next meeting of the Climate Change,
Biodiversity and Carbon Reduction Improvement and Scrutiny
Committee.
The request relates to an email that many council members have
received from their constituents asking that they support a Nature
Recovery Motion. The Committee member making the request feels that
the email raises important issues that deserve greater
consideration by members than a short debate at Full Council and
has asked that the Climate Change, Biodiversity and Carbon
Reduction Improvement and Scrutiny Committee consider the text of
the motion and decide how it wishes to proceed with it.
