To update Cabinet on the new requirement for CCTV to be
installed in taxis and private hire vehicles, which will impact on
children and vulnerable adults who are transported on Council
contracts to educational settings and adult day services.
To recommend that the Council supports the implementation of the
new requirement, initially for North East Derbyshire and Bolsover
District Councils who are implementing currently, but subsequently
for other licensing authorities, whilst complying with data
protection legislation and the rights of individuals.
