The portfolio is responsible for:
· Designated Lead Member for Children’s Services pursuant to Section 19 of the Children Act 2004
· Child protection & safeguarding
· Looked after children and care leavers
· Child exploitation
· Family support and social care for children with specific needs (disabilities)
· Child and adolescent mental health services.
· Youth Justice service
· Children and family centres
