We call on Derbyshire County Council not to close 8 Day Centres for Older People as proposed, including Jubilee Centre in New Mills, Eccles Fold in Chapel, Queens Court in Buxton, Blackwell & Valley View Day Centres in Bolsover, Fabrick Day Services in Clay Cross, Hasland Resource Centre in Chesterfield & Shirevale Resource Centre. These day centres provide a vital service in our communities. They enable hundreds of older people to live in their own home & give respite to unpaid carers. It should be debated at Full Council.
