Purpose:

To advise Cabinet of the outcome of an initial consultation carried out by Brackenfield SEND School on a proposal to alter the school’s upper age limit from 16 years to 19 years so that it can offer increased provision.
To seek Cabinet’s approval of the publication by the Local Authority of a formal statutory proposal to increase the school’s age limit, as described above.

RESOLVED to:

 

1)   Note the pre-publication consultation carried out by the school; and

 

2)   Approve the publishing of a statutory proposal to extend the age range of Brackenfield SEND school and for a statutory consultation on the proposal to be undertaken.
