    To seek cabinet member approval for awards to organisations from the Recovery from Alcohol and Drug Dependence Grant.

    Decision:

    That the Cabinet Member:

     

    a)          Approves the award of funding to the six organisations outlined in this report, who meet the Recovery From Alcohol And Drug Dependence Grant Funding Criteria, noting the full break down of allocations as outlined in the financial implications in Appendix One, to provide recovery activities in Derbyshire in 2023 and 2024.

     

    Reasons for the decision:

    The six organisations meet the criteria for the grant funding and the projects have demonstrated that they can provide activities to support recovery in Derbyshire in 2023 and 2024.

    Alternative options considered were:

     

    ·       Do nothing –this is not a preferred option as individuals in receipt of drug and alcohol treatment are more likely to recover from addiction if they can access supportive arrangements alongside treatment.
