Purpose:
To inform the Cabinet Member, retrospectively,
of responses submitted to the Department of Environment, Food and
Rural Affairs (DEFRA’s) recent waste strategy
consultations.
Decision:
That the Cabinet Member:
a) Gives retrospective approval to the responses submitted to the
Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to recent waste
strategy consultations as detailed in the report.
Reasons for the decision:
That the Cabinet Member is able to review and
acknowledge the Consultations.
Alternative options considered:
6.1 Do Nothing and therefore not respond to
DEFRA Consultations. Officers considered that the best option to
understand the Consultations holistically was to review and respond
to all collectively.
6.2 Only respond to a limited number of consultations. Officers
felt that the best option to understand the Consultations
holistically was to review and respond to all collectively.
